I walked through Victoria Square this evening on my way home and was struck by the beauty of the bare branches, wet from the earlier rain. The light made them look icy but it’s not cold enough here for ice.

Surely the worst of winter, such as it is in Adelaide, is over. The Greek family a few doors away from us has a mulberry tree at the front of the house at I see it already has buds. Our almond tree at the back is also starting to bud and soon we will have our own little almond blossom festival. Each season has something special!
