Welcome.  I am Mary Louise Tucker (MLT). I am a recently retired Technical Writer with a passion for travel, food, music, art, reading, writing, cycling, the Italian language, and farmers’ markets. Adelaide, South Australia is home where I live with my best friend and husband Andrew, called ‘Roo’ by most.

Travel-wise, I am a little bit obsessed with Italy but you will find posts on just about anywhere I travel here. My particular Italian interest is in the Abruzzo region for which I have a dedicated blog: Heart in Abruzzo.

This is a place to write, reflect, remember, observe, comment, and sometimes, think out loud. No entities (human or otherwise) are intended to be harmed in this blog.

    Loved your reference to Changing Hands Bookstore in your recent blog post. Just wanted to thank you for the kind words and let you know that we’re still in business in Tempe having just celebrated our 36th anniversary. We closed the Mill Avenue shop at the end of the 90s and are happily relocated in a much larger space about seven miles to the southeast.
