Another cookbook that I bought during my Tempe years (1976 – 1979) was the somewhat alternative Tassajara Bread Book. My husband baked bread from this book in the 1990s and reckoned that he felt ‘at one with the dough’.
Well the book was brought to us by the Zen Mountain Centre in Tassajara Springs California, so I guess that just figures. Zen and the art of baking!
