Not an Empanada, good though!

Australia’s answer to the South American empanada is the pasty. This winner is from the Orange Spot Bakery and Cafe in Glenelg, South Australia.

  1. My Cornish friend always tells me to wait until I’ve tried a proper Cornish pasty! There are lots of cheap and nasty versions in supermarkets. The ones, like in your pic, that are fresh and have nice ingredients look delicious! I bet empanada’s are delicious too.


    1. Louisa the pasties here are a legacy of all the Cornish miners who came to our state in the 1800s. I need to try in Cornwall.
